Emergency Nursing

Emergency nursing is a nursing profession that focuses on medical emergencies in order to avoid long-term disability or death of the patient. They are providing immediate care to patients in an emergency and they are mostly employed in the emergency departments of the hospital. An emergency nurse should have a vast knowledge about all the nursing field because they are supposed to deal with every case like heart attacks, strokes, gunshot wounds, car accidents, alcohol and/or drug intoxication, psychiatric and behavioural problems and so on. So, they must have a piece of deep knowledge in anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and psychology and be able to communicate effectively with patients and their families.
